A federal judge in Eugene ruled Wednesday the nonprofit Oregon Right to Life does not have to abide by a 2017 state law that requires most private health insurance plans to pay for abortion and contraception. U.S. District Court Judge Mustafa Kasubhai previously held the state law violated the advocacy group’s First Amendment right to religious freedom.

Queen Camilla faces backlash from trans activists over meeting with J.K. Rowling
Topic: Political Correctness
Source: Human Events
Rowling said she understood from her "own life experience what the trashing of women’s rights in which Emma has so enthusiastically participated means to women and girls without her privileges". Despite the meeting's focus on reading, the palace's Instagram post quickly attracted criticism because it was published during Pride Month, with some users accusing the Royal Family of endorsing Rowling's views on gender identity. One commenter wrote they were "deeply disappointed" the Queen had given Rowling a platform "especially during Pride Month," while others filled the comments section with pro-trans slogans. Another described the decision as "deplorable."

Almost all American students (84 percent) use AI at least "a few times a year," while two-thirds use it monthly, according to a recent survey of 11,443 high-achieving students conducted by the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). The survey also found that the percentage of students "not using AI at all" has dropped from 36 percent in 2024 to 6 percent in 2026, while almost half (49 percent) use AI daily or weekly. The most common usage of AI includes searching for information (55 percent), brainstorming (51 percent), and proofreading (31 percent).

...using online chat groups to drug and rape women. An international police operation spanning seven countries has uncovered highly organized networks of offenders who drug and rape their partners and use online chat groups to aid and encourage their “horrifying” assaults, authorities said on Thursday. In most cases, the victims are women who are sedated before being raped and sexually assaulted, Europol and Britian’s National Crime Agency (NCA) said. The online groups provide a haven for predominantly male perpetrators to coordinate assaults, share information as well as post videos and photos of the abuse, they said.

American Education Is in Almost Irredeemable Decline
Topic: Children and Family
Source: American Spectator
I will defend the use of “almost” only by noting that there are still educational institutions out there providing quality instruction. In virtually every city of size, there are at least a handful of options where kids won’t be indoctrinated into the kind of anti-American woke stupidity that has become virtually omnipresent in the public schools. And of course, there is the burgeoning panoply of resources available to homeschoolers, which stands as the silver lining to the mess we’re in.

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore: How to improve young men’s mental health
Topic: Men's Movement
Source: Stat News
States must lead in the effort to combat young men’s loneliness, despair, and disengagement. When we talk about men’s mental health, we tend to focus on what men are not doing: Not going to therapy. Not opening up. Not doing the work. If the hope was to shame men into better mental health, it has not worked. In Maryland, the male suicide nearly rate is four times the rate for women. Nationwide, suicide has climbed by more than a third since 2010 for young men. In Maryland and the country overall, the data track the same arc: rising deaths of despair, rising loneliness, rising disengagement from school and work. The data send a clear message: We need to stop treating our young men and boys as problems to be solved, and start treating them as people to be invested in.

It is never ‘compassionate’ to murder a child
Topic: Children and Family
Source: The Washington Examiner
In its never-ending mission to be the most “progressive” country in the world, the Netherlands just murdered a child. It was the first time a doctor has legally “assisted in the death of a terminally ill child aged between 1 and 12,” according to Sophie Hermans, the minister of health, welfare, and sport. he Netherlands was the first country in the world to legalize voluntary euthanasia in April 2002, before expanding this law in 2024 to include children. According to the Dutch government’s website on “Termination of life for terminally ill children” from 1-12: “Sometimes, a child is so severely ill that the parents and doctor together decide that there is no alternative but to terminate the child’s life.”

The TQ+ Threat To LGB Rights
Topic: Gay/Lesbian Issues
Source: Andrew Sullivan
The return to the narrative of gays as queers, freaks, and child-obsessed is dangerous. Support for marriage equality from the center and center-right is nosediving. Gallup shows a decline from 71 percent to 65 percent support for gay marriage among all Americans in just three years. Among Independents, support has dropped by six points in four years, from 73
to 67 percent; and among Republicans by 18 points, from 55 percent in 2022 to just 37 percent today — setting us back 20 years. On the morality of same-sex relations, the drops are more acute: down 10 points among Indies and 21 points among Republicans. As someone who played a part in bringing those Republicans and moderates around to gay marriage, it’s distressing to see what the queer overreach has done — especially in red states.

Israel Is an Apartheid State – and Its Weird Marriage Laws Show Us How
Topic: Children and Family
Source: antiwar
Israel is the only country in the world that does not recognise its own nationality. Why? Because a common national identity would sabotage Israel’s carefully veiled system of segregation. Israel’s supporters have gone apoplectic over a short post on X from the journalist Mehdi Hasan, highlighting Israel’s peculiar marriage laws. Hasan asks: “Did you know that you can’t have a civil or secular marriage in Israel?”
